Eric Hipolito Jr
Eric Hipolito Jr. is a ballet instructor for Pacific Northwest Ballet based in Seattle, Washington. Mr. Hipolito is a former dancer with Pacific Northwest Ballet and Ballet Arizona; and has earned a B.A. in Business Management through Arizona State University.
Originally born and raised in Seattle, WA. He trained on scholarship at Pacific Northwest Ballet School, beginning as a DanceChance student in 1998. He attended summer courses at San Francisco Ballet School, the School of American Ballet, Houston Ballet, and Pacific Northwest Ballet School on full merit scholarships, and was a 2008 recipient of the Flemming Halby exchange with the Royal Danish Ballet. He was also the first recipient of the Jerome Robbins Scholarship, given by the Jerome Robbins Foundation, in 2007 and a 2008 recipient of a Level II award for ballet from the National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts. In 2010, Mr. Hipolito was nominated for the Princess Grace Award in Dance.
Mr. Hipolito joined Pacific Northwest Ballet as a corps de ballet dancer from 2008-2015, becoming the first Pacific Northwest Ballet DanceChance student to join the company. From 2015-2018, Mr. Hipolito danced Ballet Arizona and performed numerous principal roles. Mr. Hipolito’s repertoire include works by George Balanchine, Jerome Robbins, William Forsythe, Jirí Kylian, Crystal Pite, Alexei Ratmansky, Twyla Tharp, Mark Morris, Christopher Wheeldon, Alejandro Cerrudo, Annabelle Lopez Ochoa, Justin Peck, and Kent Stowell.
